1. In my mind, comparing high school guys and college guys is kind of apples and oranges. If Dopirak had proven himself at a level like the MWL three years in a row (Patterson's years in the ACC), I think it would have been a no-brainer to move him up. I doubt very much that Patterson will struggle at Daytona the way Dopirak has this year. 2. That makes sense, there is kind of a logjam. Still, I consider him easily the best prospect out of those guys you listed, so my clamoring for a promotion is based more on what I think would be best for his development than the state of the rest of the Cubs' system. Personally, I'd like to see him in West Tennessee next year. One level at a time would get him to Chicago in 2008 or 2009, which is much to slow for a player of his age and ability. P.S. - I don't know much about this Estrada guy but he's, uh, having a decent game so far. That's all I have to say about that.
