  1. What's Ron's opinion of my new second favorite Cub minor leaguer, Brandon Sing? And as a general question, is Sing even competent in the OF? First base is obviously blocked. I'd like to see Sing get a shot with the Cubs, because he gets on base a whole lot, and has big time power.
  2. I would trade practically the entire Cubs minor league system for Delmon Young. That dude is gonna be a perennial all star within the next 3 years.
  3. Call up to Iowa pls I'm considering gathering a Brandon Sing bandwagon... his numbers the past two years have been awesome, and it's been done playing half his games in a pitcher's park. Hell, almost the whole FSL is pitcher's parks. The guy is a legit prospect, possibly a very underrated one.
  4. Good, I was hoping the Cards would get another mediocre player turned awesome player once he came to St Louis in the game... Al Reyes, come on down.
  5. How on earth can you walk NINE friggin times in almost 400 plate appearances? That's really a challenge to do something like that.
  6. Aside from the fact that I don't think the Cubs are going anywhere, I don't even get too nervous in situations like this. The Cubs are so predictable... it's almost like everyone knows they're going to lose and how it's going to happen.
  7. This has Edmonds walk-off written all over it. This game = typical COBS.
  8. Burnitz has struck out every time he has faced Izzy... so he will definitely absolutely do it again!
  9. Guarantee you Z came back to the dugout wanting to head up to bat. I bet the number of NSBB posters saying it wouldn't be a terrible idea to trade Z declined by a bit tonight...
  10. One thing I admire so much about Pujols is how he will just stand there and go down 0-2 if he doesn't get the pitch he's looking for. And then when it's 0-2, he'll still lay off the bad ones and foul off the tough strikes. When some guys (i.e., Corey Patterson) get down 0-2 the AB might as well be over.
  11. The Cubs have a great offense... for me to poop on.
  12. Yet it's a tie game... funny how baseball works.
  13. Abraham Nunez's BA is 50 points above his career average, his OBP is about 40 points above his career average, and his SLG is 70 points above his career average. Sounds about par for the course as far as the Cardinals are concerned.
  14. I guarantee you if Gary Scott had been a Cardinal, he would've turned out to be a perennial all star.
  15. Well J-Rod already has a HR tonight. Only the Cards could pick up some 27 year old non-prospect loser and have him turn into Mike Schmidt.
  16. E-Patt is about 136 spots too low.
  17. Judging by his physique, I think it's safe to say Ribbee is not on the juice.
  18. So you're saying it was unseasonably cold?
  19. I don't think you can really rip on the guy for pronouncing Latin players' names correctly
  20. Robinson Cano?!?!?!?
  21. Sit back and enjoy as Einar Diaz, Scott Seabol and John Rodriguez tear the Cubs apart this weekend.
