  1. Nebraska-USC has been given the HDTV until the game gets out of hand... Clemson-F$U and Tennessee-Florida get the other 2 TVs. Solid round of Sunday night games.
  2. Yeah, every time they squib it the other team gets the ball at their own 40 or better. WTG Belotti.
  3. Yeah, Oregon was offsides and touched the ball before it went 10 yards... terrible call. Then again, the defense was horrendous on that Oregon TD pass.
  4. Best play in football, bar none. If only he was fatter, a la Ted Washington or something.
  5. LMAO, I love when fatties return fumbles for TDs.
  6. I have a real close matchup going in the semis of my baseball fantasy league, and I picked up Rich Hill on Wednesday. CG and SO are categories, so if Rich can finish this off, that would be HUGE for me.
  7. I hope Michigan runs it up. Put up 50 on Fat Weis.
  8. The D-Rays actually snatched defeat from the jaws of victory twice - first, allowing two runs in the bottom of the 9th, and then 2 more in the bottom of the 10th. Two chances to win, two blown saves. Also, KC jumped out to a 6-0 lead after 2 innings and then proceeded to squander it away the rest of the game. I guess there's a good reason those two teams suck.
  9. Once again, looks like KC and PIT have the best shots at winning.
  10. They could probably sign him now, if he can get out of his Burger King contract.
  11. Cubs only a game back of TB and 1.5 back of KC! Other action tonight: TB: Seo (3-10, 5.20) @ TOR: Halladay (16-5, 3.21) --Might as well not even play the game... Tampa is an automatic loser, or in Fecal League ways, a winner. SEA: Cruceta (0-0, 6.75) @ KC: Hudson (7-5, 5.25) --Here's a good one, as far as the Cubs are concerned. Cruceta has had just one outing this year, with 1.1 IP and 1 ER, but his career numbers in the minors (3.84 ERA, 1.36 WHIP) are not great and those figures would be much worse if not for his success in the early minors. His ERA last year was over 5 and his ERA this year at Tacoma was 4.17, but with 17 HR allowed and a 1.41 WHIP. Hudson isn't very good, but then again, neither is anybody else on Kansas City. Since a disastrous 10 run first inning against Cleveland, he's actually been pretty good. Go Royals! NYM: Martinez (9-5, 3.84) @ PIT: Maholm (7-10, 4.90) --On the surface, this looks bad for the Pirates, but it's Pedro's first game back from the DL, so he might not be sharp, and he'll almost certainly not go very deep in the ballgame. Malholm has a 1.50 ERA against the Mets this year, and the Mets are just 5-11 against LHP since August 1. I'm hopefully the Pirates can keep their "hot streak" going. After all, they're 6-4 in their last 10, which for a team as bad as the Pirates is hot.
  12. Solid loss today by the Cubs... good to see them back on the right track.
  13. Unfortunately, Freddie will not be old enough to be eligible as a presidential candidate. Neifi will be 35 in 2008, which would allow him to pass the age requirement - but the vice-presidential candidate must be constitutionally eligible to become president, and since Neifi was born in a foreign country, he isn't. Bottom line - you need to pick other scrubby baseball players to nominate :D
  14. I'm rooting for stadium collapse... but if that pans out, I hope you get out first
  15. Or, you could be awesome like me and have 3 TVs set up in your TV room so that you can watch 3 college games at once every Saturday... I think Auburn-LSU will be the HD game at 3:30! \:D/ Well, so much for this... our local CBS affiliate is a joke, so we don't get an HD channel for CBS. Same for Fox. ](*,) Guess I'll probably put Michigan-ND on the HD and make Auburn-LSU and Miami-Louisville the games on the top TVs.
  16. Hey, if the Dodgers can blow two should've-been wins against the Cubs, I'm sure they can do the same against the Pirates.

  18. Which they probably don't.
  19. Don't worry, there was plenty of Mark May idiocy on SportsCenter as well. They asked him and Herbstreit about a number of games this week, and May's rationales for his picks were illogical, just about across the board. Then he said something about Troy Smith being better than Brady Quinn because he isn't running the ball as much this year... yeah, running less makes a guy a better quarterback. A QB who runs a lot could never, say, guide an undefeated team to the national championship. Herbstreit is actually a really good analyst - IMO, the best on ESPN and one of the best college football guys on TV. I'm not exactly sure how Ohio State managed to produce someone bright and well-spoken :D
  20. Eric Patterson is more of an A++ guy
  21. Not if the Twins, White Sox or Tigers were in the WS.
  22. Guess I need to start rooting for the Cubs to win again. Now that I am rooting for them to lose, they've started pulling seemingly hopeless games out of the fire.
  23. Crushing win for the Cubs today. As usual, they can't do anything right.
