  1. eh whatever, double digit strikeouts for a second straight game. Those bums got lucky with the home runs :D
  2. Can't say I'm too upset... another 10 strikeout game for Rich and the Cubs get a key loss in the Fecal League. Unfortunately, TB is going to lose (big shocker there), but KC is tied with Detroit 2-2 so far.
  3. Mixed results tonight - 3 HRs allowed and 4 ER in 5 IP, but also 10 strikeouts. Reds pretty much hit every pitch that was close to a mistake out of the park. Still, I like to see him missing all those bats.
  4. oops, never mind, just looked at the radar... rich's night is over and the cubs lose
  5. well, if he's going to pitch for the Cubs for years in the future, he's going to have to deal with GABP and the Juice Box - not to mention Wrigley with the wind blowing out. You don't strike out 10 guys in 5 innings without throwing the ball well - the Reds just happened to hit just about all his mistake pitches out of the park. Wonder if we'll see one more inning of Rich - knowing Dusty, we may even see two more.
  6. if it makes you feel any better, rich hill has double-digit strikeouts again
  7. haha, guess you should've tried to bunt your way on again, aurilia KKKKKKKKKK
  8. WTF, another scrub with a long at bat and a home run
  9. oh well, don't worry fellow cub fans - i'm sure we'll get them next inning with Pagan, Blanco, Cedeno and Soto!
  10. Yeah, he can look across the field on Sunday and see what the Bears need him to be. Brad Johnson isn't great but he won't screw up and kill his team either. If Grossman can make a couple of plays and the running game can be at least somewhat effective, the Bears should win a lot of games. It's a good model for success and consistency in the NFL, really.
  11. hurry up and score before Pagan strands more guys on base
  12. Pretty sad when Rich Hill sees more pitches in an AB than anybody else on the team.
  13. Time for one of our scrubs to hit a home run - Juan Pierre maybe?
  14. Thats right... next he has to get back Encarnacion, and then Castro for that annoying at bat last inning.
  15. I do admire your optimism, still hoping for a bowl appearance after getting beaten soundly by a 1-AA team. I wish you guys the best of luck - except for next week :P
  16. Well, I think it's safe to say we just witnessed the best at bat of Juan Castro's crappy career.
  17. I too blame the rain... and Rich Aurilia's cheapo bunt hit. I'd bunt too if I knew I couldn't get a REAL hit off Rich Hill.
