  1. Touchdown Tebow - he'll celebrate tonight with a glass of milk and some Bible reading
  2. good to see JoePa doesn't have the runs this week
  3. nice hops there snow
  4. This was predictable... Purdont has no pass defense whatsoever
  5. jeez NWern's O-line is a train wreck
  6. they'll start paying attention once Northwestern takes the lead
  7. yay, I got that one right too
  8. I dunno if he was in, but I don't think they could overturn it.
  9. As usual, Morelli doing what he can to keep the other team in the game.
  10. Not really, even if you give Northwestern the short field, they can't do anything with it.
  11. nice choice there morelli
  12. Ah there's the drive-ending turnover that this year's club is so good at.
  13. As I said last week, Classic Moo. Completely predictable that they wouldn't show up today, although I figured they would at least find a way to beat a team as bad as Illinois. This will probably be the death knell for John L Smith, although I really wonder if Moo will ever stop collapsing to end their seasons.
  14. would have been fun to see this game with Alexander healthy - these are probably the 2 best teams in the NFC. But, it should still be a good game anyway.
  15. A's win the division and Rich Harden pitches 5 shutout innings. Boy that Billy Beane sure is overrated, only 8 winning seasons in a row (6 90-win seasons) and five playoff appearances in that time, with a payroll that's always in the bottom third of the American League.
  16. whoever the color guy was for the Eagles-Niners game Sunday was pretty brutal.
  17. Likely. Maybe the Bucs can see what Major Applewhite is up to these days Great name, marginal QB skills. All-time leader in passing yardage and touchdowns at UT... maybe not a guy who was bound to be an NFL QB, but he was effective as a college quarterback except against Oklahoma. Fixed. I wasn't talking about Chris Simms.
  18. see, my problem with this answer is that Hill doesn't profile as a #4/5. Over the course of his minor league career, he's either been great or awful. His stuff is just too strong to project as a #4/5. Either he's a #2/3 or he's a minor leaguer. I can see arguments for either, but I can't see him falling in the middle.

  20. There's also the question of whether ND would deserve to be in the national championship game over other one-loss teams. A win at USC would be impressive, but there would still be the blowout loss at home to Michigan and the gift win over Michigan State. Those aren't exactly the same as, say, Ohio State's Texas loss or Penn State loss last year.
  21. I wouldn't worry about it, Chris Simms was pretty much going to play his way out of the NFL even if he had a spleen.
  22. Lesson learned from Rutgers? If you play UNC, Illinois, Ohio and Howard, you too could be a member of the college football top 25.
  23. Well of course, the national media will take any chance they get to kiss Favre's rear.
  24. And then Kurt Warner coughed it right back to them. Time for Matt Leinart - 4 turnovers against the Rams is reason enough for a benching. Warner gets so easily rattled it's not even funny. He just looks scared out there at times. With all the parity in the NFL, turnovers are often the difference. Warner simply makes too many mistakes.
