  1. 6-35 with no strikeouts... that's a horrendous babip
  2. yeah learning how to win in the minors isn't going to prepare these guys for all the losing they'll do with the big club
  3. no cubs batters have struck out today
  4. not for sure, soriano has a pretty good arm. it's not like juan pierre's rag arm out there.
  5. despite barrett's best efforts, the game is still tied
  6. What's your problem with that quote? You wouldn't consider a combined 11-2 record with an era around 1.3 to be "stupid" good? Or do you just not like the phrase? I hate the phrase. He's been a scout for over 30 years. I'm assuming he's over 50. It's bad enough when a 20 year old talks like that. What's next? Yo, that Samardzija is just phat. sorry, grandpa
  7. I offer my prediction for Hill in 2007: 18-7, 3.02 ERA, 221 IP, 187 H, 61 BB, 215 K
  8. c'mon lou... get the heave ho on wednesday!
  9. the cubs need to stop scoring so many runs when hill pitches... he only needs one!
  10. Niners select CB Jonathan Wade, Tennessee
  11. can someone check the record player? i think it's skipping.
  12. his bat plays a whole lot better at SS than at RF or LF
  13. boy, a lot of people on this site are going to LOVE that last shot
  14. Murton is a better player RIGHT NOW. Two years ago? You gotta give it to Cliff, but his day is past. The better chance to win now is with Murton batting 2nd in the lineup and starting 75% of games in LF and spelling Jones one day a week in RF. Cliff Floyd has had one lousy year - last year - and he was hurt for most of that time. The difference between Floyd and Murton in terms of production is pretty small, and I suspect that your position as "Archbishop of the Church of Murton" is making it a little hard for you to view this topic objectively.
  15. exaggerating a bit, aren't we?
  16. I was watching baseball tonight with a friend who'd never seen a Rich Hill curve, and he was blown away by it. What a beautiful pitch.
