seriously, Ronny Cedeno has no business being on this team. He was one of the worst hitters in baseball last year, and he again looks lost to start this year. His plate discipline is abysmal, and his fielding is even inconsistent. Bring up Fontenot. He can fill in at SS in a pinch, but you've already got two guys on the roster who can play SS reasonably well (Izturis, Theriot). Fontenot has a career .364 OBP in the minors, and had a solid line of 296/375/450/825 at Iowa last year. He's unlikely to be completely lost at the plate, because he has a good eye. At the very least he'll be able to contribute by drawing some walks, which is more than can be said for Ronny. And, he's never going to be more than a utility guy, so you're not harming his long-term development by calling him up and giving him sparse playing time.
