knock on wood one positive thing about marquis, you can throw him out there for a lot of pitches and not worry much about the injury risk. He can go for a long time.
every time a cub gets in a long at bat, it seems like the outcome is something anticlimactic, like a strikeout or a dribbler. when other teams do that against us they walk or hit a home run on the 23rd pitch.
to be fair, the Sox and Yankees have both been consistently good the past 10 years, and they play a lot of good games. meanwhile, the cubs never win anything.
i'm bitter that you get to watch the cubs, so i'm actually sending comments that they interrupt the game MORE or just switch to red sox-yankees altogether i kid, i kid
He's definitely something special in the OF. i don't think anyone would argue that he's not ready defensively... he's by far the best defensive outfielder in the system
not surprising, given that the cards lineup is loaded with patient hitters and the cubs are a bunch of first-pitch hackers That's part of it but Marquis has had some of those ground balls sneak by the INF defenders too. It's prolonged his innings. that's not the biggest issue... cubs had seen fewer pitches per AB than the cards' hitters
