The 2025 MLB Draft will again feature just 20 rounds, but there has been a format change. After downsizing from a two-day, 40-round draft to a three-day, 20-round draft, Major League Baseball has now gone to a two-day, 20-round draft.

The first three rounds (which is a round longer than before) will happen later today, beginning at 5 p.m. You can catch it live on MLB Network and ESPN. The Destination: The Show crew would like to invite you to join us live as we cover the entirety of the first three rounds

The last 17 rounds will take place tomorrow beginning at 10:30 a.m. There hasn't been a 17-round draft day in a while, but rest assured — there used to be 20-round days, so North Side Baseball will have the capacity to cover the duration.

The Cubs will make three selections on Day One.

    17th overall (1st round)

    56th overall (2nd round)

    90th overall (3rd round)

The Cubs will have the 9th-smallest bonus pool ($9,636,800) in baseball. Of course, they have exceeded their pool and gone into the tax every year since the current rules were put in place.

Once again, North Side Baseball will feature the Cubs Draft Tracker, which will be kept up-to-date not only during the draft but through the entire signing period. So keep coming back for updates!

Man, I'm *glad* the Cardinals took Doyle. Hernandez is the guy I think is the best arm available. Doyle has such a weird profile. His fastball is super cool and fun, but not entirely sure you can just be a fastball guy at the MLB. Fastballs have the best numbers against, and throwing 95-97 isn't special any more (his shape is though!).

Just don't really love his profile. I know people get jazzed about him, I'm less so.

Pirates take Seth Hernandez and immediately announce he's on the trade block during the 2031 Trade Deadline.

Stupid Pirates not going the cheap route. I wanted an Ike Irish underslot

That Pirate rotation has the potential of just being absolutely unbelievably good.

Also, as an aside, I just can not with Harold Reynolds.

Another year where every comparison he makes is someone of the same race.

MLB Net has a lot of decent ex players who give solid analysis.....To bad Dero and Reynolds have somehow got to be the top guys.

You don’t agree with him that the Rockies should push Holliday to the bigs to play for a 60 win team?

It's such a surprise that no MLB team has hired him off of MLBN to be apart of their front office.

I'm glad I'm surrounded by likeminded people here. People who I get along with and people who think Harold Reynolds is a good thing talking are two circles in a Venn Diagram that don't touch.

    This is a safe space.

I like Steele Hall. Must be going under if they do Hall because 9 is very high for him.

Well 2 of the 3 guys I wanted at #17 didn't even make it to #10, so much for all of that.

Chaos is fun, but no one's gone completely off board yet. Hall and Bremner were still potential picks in the 10-15 range in early mocks. It mostly feels.like a reshuffling of the top 15 picks so far.

Well there's really not anyone left who could slide to #17 at this point that I would have been shocked to see them there.

Yeah, no one I'll be shocked but still really hoping for Witherspoon. Lance Brozdowski really sold me on him.

That said, I doubt Tampa lets him get past them, so I don't think he'll be there.

That one is off the board. Fien was ranked in the late 20's and early 30's.

Fien is probably a bit of an underslot, not much, but probably something.
