Yeah, just what we need. AGon II. Get him and World Series, here we come!!

Why Nomar can't be "plan B", with Cedeno as "plan C" is beyond me.

Because I don't think anybody believes that Nomar can still play a passable shortstop.

Nomar at SS >>>>>>>>>> AGon II or Neifi.

Offensively yes, defensively not so much.

Overall yes.

Any chance we could somehow trick opposing teams into letting Neifi field, Nomar hit, and convince them that they are the same person?

Yeah, probably wouldn't work...

Whatever he lacks defensively he can make up for with his bat.

As much as I like Nomar, I think his days at SS are over.

But my point is I'd rather have Nomar in this stage of his career at SS rather than AGon II or Neifi.

It's AGone II: The Next Whiff

Oh yeah. And guess what? The tix will sell out in February just like they always do. Tell me the Cubs have a sense of urgency to win. Go ahead. I dare ya.

Extrapolating a report in a Florida paper speculating who the Cubs' back-up plan at SS is to their urgency to win is quite a leap.

Goes to character, your Honor. If the Cubs are seriously looking at AGone's identical twin as a SS solution, then just how serious can they be about winning a World Series?

I'd rather have 35 games of Nomar @ 2b and then, after he gets injured, take my chances with Cedeno than have to watch another season of Neifi-ball any day :!:

Works for me.

Not a guarantee he gets injured, though.

I'd love for Walker to stay, but if it comes between Neifi and Nomar at 2nd, I'd rather have Nomar, because as long as Dusty and Neifi are here, Cedeno isn't going to start more than twice a week.
