Johnny Damon?

I found this tidbit of information:

 

The Cubs are also expected to pursue Boston center fielder Johnny Damon. The Red Sox want him back, and the Yankees need a center fielder, too.

 

 

The article doesn't list a source, so I assume it's speculation. But I did want to toss it out for discussion.

This would be the only reason I think the Cubs should show any interest in Damon. If showing him interest will help to get Furcal to drop his asking price by a mil a year that'd be spectacular.
