Has anyone attended one of these games. Is their a rivalry between the two teams since one are future white sox and the other cubs. Do white sox fans and cub fans go out and attend any of these games.... They should of been pretty exciting this year at least since both had good ballclubs... Also both had stud prospects... Chris Young and Felix Pie mainly.

Not just Chris Young and Felix Pie:

Birmingham had, besides Young, Josh Fields, Sean Tracey, Ryan Sweeney and Bobby Jenks. WT had Matt Murton, Brandon Sing, Rich Hill, Carlos Marmol and Ricky Nolasco. Then again, the whole SL is loaded. Jacksonville was ridiculously talented.

Oh I know there were a ton of prospects on each team... I personally know a lot about the Birminham team but was just wondering if there was kind of a small rivalry considering they were future white sox and cubs....

Also mentioned Young and Pie because those 2 are the ones with the highest ceilings but I know Jenks has helped the Sox this season and Im pretty sure I remember seeing Hill with the cubs. And a course Murton...

Yep, Hill was up with the Cubs and logged some time, although Dusty sat him in favor of Rusch in September (for some odd reason).

What are your thoughts on Young cubs/sox? I've seen him compared to everyone from Mike Cameron to Carlos Beltran to a healthy Ken Griffey Jr. Are people overshooting the mark a bit, or is he the real deal?

I've attended a ton of Jaxx/Barons games, but I would call it more of a rivalry due to the past before I would call it a rivalry because it's the affilaites of the Cubs/Sox. In addition, you have to remember that the Jaxx and Barons are in different divisions. Just my :twocents:

Well comparing anyone to Ken Griffey is overshooting the mark lol but the most common comparison ive heard for Young is Mike Cameron. Although he has a much higher upside.

I know he broke the all time double record for our AA team which was previously held by Magglio. Also what makes it a lot more special is because just last season he was in Low A so he made a pretty significant jump.

This season he only hit 24 HR's but our AA park is an extreme pitchers one and last year I remember hearing he hit 40 some so he definitely has a lot of power. His biggest problem seems to be the K's but he takes a lot of walks also which is very good.

I think he is very capable of being a .280ish hitter, 30-40 HRs, 100 walks, and 20 SB player.....

I think their will be a lot of comparisons with him and Pie in the future both who look like to be future all stars for long times to come.... The only OF prospect right now that Id rather have over Chris Young or Felix Pie is Delmon Young.
