Joe Mays anyone?

The Twinkies declined his 2006 option. Anyone have any interest in him as a fallback?

He had a rough year in 2005 but he seems like a guy like Farnsworth who has good even years and bad odd years (or the opposite for Farns). I wouldn't mind Mays for about 3-4 million if Williams/Hill had already been traded. If they haven't then I say stick with the youngsters as they would be just as productive.

A WHIP under 1.44? 2001

A K/9 over 5? 2000

A K/BB over 2? Never

 

Mays had a good 2001, and has been TERRIBLE since.
