Trade possibilities? These guys might be on the block:

1. Jason Schmidt

2. Brandon Webb

3. Odalis Perez

4. Kip Wells

5. Eric Milton

6. Livan Hernandez

7. Steve Trachsel

8. Sidney Ponson

9. El Duque

10. Kyle Lohse

11. Mike Maroth

Nothing looks very exciting there, with the exception of the first two names and maybe, Livan.

With Hendry's history, I think any starting pitching decisions will depend on Guzman's fall league.

He does well, we might see a Williams, Guzman combination.

Not so well, we go shopping.

Read recently that Brad Radke could be available. He's due $9 million next year.

Why would Webb be available??

Guzman's still one of my favorite prospects in the Cubs system, but I don't think there is anyway you delay any decisions to improve the rotation based on how he does in the Fall League. If he proves he is completely healthy, you can stick him in the bullpen or bring him up at the trade deadline once you've found a trade partner for Wood. At this point, you have to be very aware of his injury history and not bank your whole season on his health.
