It appears there's some dissention among the team on the Southside.

Guillen is apparently mifed that Everett (surprise, surprise) is complaining about being moved down in the line-up.

"I hope my players don't try to be managers," Guillen said.

"If you're batting third and all of a sudden you're batting sixth, you better look at yourself in the mirror and ask why. You don't go around behind people and say 'why me' ... because if you're swinging the bat good, I'm not stupid enough to [move] you in the lineup. I'm going to make the best lineup for the team. Right now I think it's better to bat Carl sixth and take pressure off him."

Losing seems to be taking it's toll.

Not only that, but the thinly-veiled criticism there was blown clean apart by the last sentence.

Bad things are happening at the Sox, and its our job to enjoy it while its going on (while not focusing too much on it)

I don't know too many people who felt that Sox could maintain their torrid pace of the first half. But no one thought the Indians would run off a 17-3 record, either. If the Indians had gone 14-6 (still a great 20 game record), talk of a Sox collapse wouldn't even be discussed.

Im not real sure that these comments are due to the losing or due to the fact that both Guillen and Everett are loudmouths. It wouldnt be shocking if these comments had come out when they were winning. Guillen has no restraint when it comes to talking to the media about his players which can be a bad things alot of the time.
