Random... Who'd we give up to acquire Fred McGriff? Anyone know?

July 27, 2001: Traded by the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to the Chicago Cubs for a player to be named later and Manuel Aybar. The Chicago Cubs sent Jason Smith (August 6, 2001) to the Tampa Bay Devil Rays to complete the trade.

Thanks.

For some reason, the Crime Dog popped into my head and I couldn't remember who we gave up to get him... turns out it really wasn't anyone.

Time to call the number of pitches Neifi sees in his first AB.

I'll give Neifi some love and go with 4

3 (called strike, called strike, fly to right)

Does anybody know Neifi's average P/PA this year ?

It's very low, like one of the worst in the league(of people with X amount of PAs). I think 5th worst, it was in some article that someone referenced

#224 of 229 in the MLB w/100+ PA @ 3.26 pitches/PA

Thanx. I really thought it was down around 3.0.

Though, to be fair - (and it's what you do with the pitches, too) Nomar is #220.

Wow, Ford drops a bunt (White Sox/Twins game) to advance the runners and stands there with the bat for the DP. I guess he thought it would roll foul. 1-1 game, bottom of the 4th, Twins with a RISP, 2 out.

I know that's unearned, but it's been just about a full month since Zambrano had an above average start. It's been a rough 4 weeks for him.

Carpenter off the hook

And a Carpenter loss was one of the only good things left about this game. (Especially/because of Carlos).

all the more reason to go for broke and start a fight.
