Torii Hunter on the block? The Minneapolis Star Tribune says that it may be a possibility due to his $10.75 million salary next year.

I think this would be a great opportunity for Hendry to make some noise in the winter! Maybe a package of Walker, Mitre/Welly/Hill and Corey would get the deal done. The Twins are looking for cheap hitting, and Walker fits their need at 2B, and maybe Corey can pull it together with a change of scenery.

 

This would necessitate a Furcal signing with Cedeno moving to 2B, of course.

 

Thoughts? Concerns?

great minds think alike. I doubt the Twins would be interested in Wlaker, the media acted like he REALLY wanted out of MN when he was here and I doubt the fans would want him back....

I was just about to post this.

 

If he's available he should be priority No. 1 for Hendry. Hunter would be a bigger acquisition for the Cubs than any free agent who will be on the market. Bigger than a trade for Manny Ramirez.
