WTG, Eric! :)

Scoreless through 3 for Daytona.

The errors on Fuld and Harvey were the first errors for either in the second half.

Ryan's last was opening day....hes been in the outfield 88 times since then

Guzman is done after 60 pitches. An E6, an infield single on which Guzman failed to cover first, and an RBI double knock him out.

You beat me to posting that!

Simokaitis bobbles a ball and gets the error - 3rd error of the evening so far.

OK: grounder to the right side, but Guzman fails to cover 1st.

WHAT IS UP WITH CUBS PITCHERS NOT COVERING FIRST BASE?

Maybe they could practice it a little bit more often?!?

It's driving me CRAZY!

RBI double = 3-0 Beloit :x

The double happened on pitch #60 for Guzman, so he's done for the evening. Blevins coming in.

The SL named their end-of-season all star team. The Jaxx and former Jaxx who made the team are:

OF Matt Murton

1B/DH Brandon Sing

RHP Ricky Nolasco

LHP Renyel Pinto

So the Jaxx had both starting pitchers!

Marmol has surrendered 3 straight hits and 2 runs to make it 6-2 WT.

Ron making a very good case as to why Ryan Theriot should have made the all star team as the UT. Dan Ugla made the team as both the 2B and UT because he led the votes in both categories, which does seem like a waste.

Excellent!

Blevins contains the damage, still 3-0 Beloit

1-0 Palm Beach

Weber ran into some trouble in the 4th; Layden comes in and gets a clutch line-out double play!

Daytona with one hit through 4.

Marmol ends up giving up 3 R in that 3rd inning, 6-3 in the top of the 4th.

EPatt walks, now he's 3-3 with a BB. Patterson now steals second, his 2nd AA SB. Patterson now out trying to steal third. :(

Good news for Jaxx manager Bobby Dickerson, his house sustained no structural damage from Katrina, though trees were uprooted.

3-0 Beloit to the 6th

Blevins gets squeezed with 2 outs and the bases loaded, but rallies to a K for the 3rd out.

2-0 Palm Beach through 6.

Disaster in the 6th

4-0 Beloit on a single to CF

Fuld's throw was right on the money and beat the runner, but Bernard didn't catch it! Perfect throw.

5-0 Beloit -

Burns with a double ... and an rbi.

Matt Weber only got 2.8 runs/game run support in Peoria.

Now he's not getting any in Daytona, either.

Chiefs go in order in the 7th

5-0 Beloit, stretch time

Congrats to the guys that made it but *sigh* on Riot not getting the utility nod. Ron is right on in saying that Ryan was robbed losing that honor to Dan Uggla, who received the nod for second baseman and utility guy.

Where was Marmol hit? Any word on his condition?

Apparently in the shin, no word.

Ugh, Ramos can't throw a strike to save himself. He walks in a run then gives up a single to tie the game. Dunn out to get Ramos, Aardsma coming in :x

Oh no, Marmol gets drilled on a comebacker. He goes gown and is limping badly off the field.

Where was he hit?

6-0 Beloit, top 9

I don't know if the ball hit his shin on the line or on a bounce. Either way he tried to get the ball and then went down on the field. It sounded like it was pretty bad.

UGH AARDSMA WALKS IN A RUN

Wow, a walk, walk, single, and a walk I believe

7-6

Single, 9-6

Talk about bullpen implosion. What are their numbers in the past 2.1 IP!?!?!?!!?!?

Chiefs lose, 6-0

2nd night in a row they've been 3-hit

I guess it's not surprising that the offense is suffering without Eric Patterson.
