Chiefs lose 4-2. Eric Patterson stole 2B & 3B on consecutive pitches in the 6th, though ... which was cool. 8)

Eric Patterson is my favorite player!! My sister goes to school there and my dad sometimes takes us to games when we meet up with her.

Cool! Bo's just been discussing my man Tim (see below) during the Daytona game. Coincidence? I don't think so :D .

(Daytona lead 5-0, incidentally, into the bottom of the fifth).

Edit - missed a ','

Quick reminder of the q & a sessions that we have running with the guys on the Peoria Chiefs. In addition, remember that Nathan has a thread in the Minor League forum where he's taking questions!

The Chiefs playoff hopes aren't looking too bright. There are 13 games left to play in the regular season.

PeoriaChiefs.com[/url]"]Peoria OF/DH Ryan Harvey regains MWL lead in RBI with 92, but Chiefs fall in game two 4-2 and are now six games behind Quad Cities for first place and behind four teams in the wild card race. The Chiefs have Monday and Tuesday off before returning to Quad Cities Wednesday night at 7:00 for the final regular season matchup in 2005 with the Swing.

And here are the semi-occasionally posted updated Gallagher stats. They might not be perfectly accurate, but they're pretty darn close.

JOHNSON BECOMES TRIPLE THREAT IN 13-0 CUBS WIN

The Daytona Right Fielder Had a Career Day with Three Homeruns in the Cubs Blowout Victory

By Bo Fulginiti

DAYTONA BEACH, Fla—Fans at Jackie Robinson Ballpark often call J.J. Johnson “Triple J” because of his initials, but on Sunday evening he gave the nickname a whole new meaning.

In Game 3 of a three-game set against the division rival St. Lucie Mets, Johnson cracked three homeruns and recorded eight RBI’s as he led the charge in the Cubs 13-0 blowout victory.

With a pair of two-run bombs in the second and seventh innings and a three-run blast in the eighth, Johnson became just the second player in franchise history to register three homeruns in one game since former Cub Jeff Goldbach accomplished the same feat on April 8, 2002. The Cubs right fielder finished the night 4-for-5 as he also added an RBI double off of Mets starter Ivan Maldonado (4-5) in the third frame.

Johnson’s career night also seemed to infectiously spread to the rest of the Daytona lineup, as the Cubs scored 13 runs on 15 hits, including a 4-for-5 effort from designated hitter Paul O’Toole who added a homerun, three RBI’s and five runs scored.

On the mound Juan Mateo (9-5) continued his forward progress in the Cubs rotation, as he hurled five innings of shutout ball and struck out six to quiet the St. Lucie attack.

Following the win, the Cubs completed their six-game homestand at 5-1 as they improved their second half record to 27-28.

Daytona will now hit the bricks and travel down I-95 to embark on a six-game road trip beginning in Palm Beach as they take on the Cardinals at Roger Dean Stadium for a three-game set.

Southpaw J.R. Mathes (9-7, 4.28 ERA) will get the nod in Game 1 on Monday night for the Cubs.

First pitch is slated for 7:05 p.m. EST.

What is up with Sean these days?

This is why you should read the whole thread CT :P

Just not as sharp. The curve isnt as tight, the fastball isnt as fast, the location isnt as precise. It will happen when you are 19 and logging 140 innings...
