Get Prior a breather and a bigger lead.

Neither of those seem too likely to happen with him batting this inning.

Of course, what do I know?

At least he wont be getting much of a breather.

Randy Williams with a 8.36 ERA ?? Well.... I boldly predict our offense will either explode for many runs.... or go into hibernation and score nothing.

Way to CYA, Fred.

Is anyone else just about fed up with Lawton?

Well, he hasn't done much since coming to eh Cubs but he has too much previous success to expect that his poor performance will continue indefinitely, so, no, I'm not fed up with him.

Well, that's right. These guys are never "down the middle".... it's always one extreme or the other, no?

Although he does have a history of struggling in the second half. :|

Not much of one when you factor in the injuries.

Oh, I don't know.... seems to me I might have heard the phrase "feast or famine" once or twice on this board last year, no?

And Gerut had how many at bats as a Cub?

Not that I was a huge fan of Gerut, don't get me wrong!

But he did save us man!!! :) They are basically the same player, with Lawton having more ab's and more success in them.
