You're pathetic Glendon. Five runs to the worst offense in baseball is absolutely horrific.

 

 

That pathetic offense is winning the Wild Card, aren't they?

 

Give Houston props.

 

Their pitching is amazing, however, their offense is not deserving of any "proper respect."

 

i gotta agree with swisher. Houston's offense was shut out 2 days in a row by the freakin Pirates at the screwed up park in Houston. Anytime that happens, you know you have offensive problems.

 

 

And ours is any better?

 

I understand Glendon isn't pitching well, but one bad start and you're all over him.

not a good pitch by Rusch, but for those p'ing and moaning about him, the Astros have hit in incredibly good luck tonight. 3 hard hit balls, 5 runs for them. in the mean time, the Cubs have hit about 7 or 8 hard and only have three to show for it.

Rich Hill?

 

Sergio Mitre. Todd Wellemeyer. Renyel Pinto. Ricky Nolasco.

 

 

And how good are these guys?

 

Mitre was hammered before he left, Welly is a reliever, Pinto is unproven along with Nolasco.

 

Mitre was decent in his role as a starter. He had a 1.29 WHIP and a 5.19 (very bullpen-inflated, too, by the way). He stopped starting because the Cubs had their theoretical rotation in order.

 

Welly has been starting in Iowa and was a starter for several years. I grant that Pinto and Nolasco are unproven, as is Hill. Rusch is a proven, rather mediocre, starter. We caught lightning in a bottle with Glendon for the last year. Meanwhile, the young Cubs are better; give them a shot and keep Glendon in the 'pen.
