8/14 Other Games: Pedro throws 7.1 no-hit innings, loses

Pedro Martinez is my favorite non-cub/never been a cub. I really hope he gets the no-no and the first one for the Mets.

He had an easy 1-2-3 7th (though Miguel Cairo and Marlon Anderson nearly collided over a flyball) and the no-no is still intact.

Pedro gets the loss, Marlon Anderson was gunned out at home with one out in the ninth after a check swing IF grounder. Antonio Perez made a nice throw and Dioner Navarro made a nice block of home.
