And I know his average is low, but why hasn't Andruw Jones name been mentioned (at least that I have seen, I've only skimmed through this thread)?

 

I mentioned Jones before, but he has not been very consistant in his career. He has always been one of the top CF in the game but his offense and baserunning are not usually his forte. Plus, as you mentioned his ba is low.

Jeter on the list is ridiculous. He isn't top 10 offensively, and not even a top 10 defensive SS.

 

I agree, he is a very overrated player. His stats are good but he is certainly not among the best in the game. Usually you will hear people call him a winner. He is a winner by virtue of who he played with. I think if you had replaced him with A-Rod in 1996, the Yankees would still have those four rings and maybe one more.
