Disclaimer: I'm trying arguing that Neifi should be blamed for the Cubs' struggles.

 

But, Neifi pulled quite a trick this season. He had a great April and has been terrible since, but for whatever reason, that's the only month people remember. I don't think anyone expected Neifi to put up the numbers that they expected Nomar to put up, but offensively, he has not "filled in at shortstop fine."

What does the lack of heart have to do with anything? I'd guess that the reason they walk guys and give up hits is because they suck.

it's the same crap people say about patterson and wood. patterson sucks because he doesn't want to be good, and wood gets hurt a lot because he doesn't want to stay healthy.
