...like a total and complete smackdown of the Cardinals. Man, do I feel so much better today than yesterday. :D

Here is hoping DLee hits two more dingers and gets back in the RBI race, but that is the main thing I am rooting now.

I get too high on wins, and way to low on losses, the cardinals (being a person who lived in st. louis) magnify them. Did you read the stltoday.com at all? Duncan talking about lucky hits...figures, can't even give us that game. Losers.

Our team got beat," manager Tony La Russa said. "We had one really good chance and Maddux showed us why he's a 300-game winner - he got Albert Pujols. We had a chance to make it a really close game, and he got him out. Big out for them.

"Really, they just beat us."

and duncan was talking about perez and macias' hits...and we all know he's right about their hits being lucky.

by the way, is pujols getting booed at wrigley? i don't think there's really any reason to, but the "greatest fans in the world ever, bar none, no question" booed Derek Lee. and everyone knows what a jerk Derek Lee is with his holdouts and complaining and tripping old people.

Are they really booing Pujols? That I don't understand. The guys an incredible player and as far as I know he's a stand up guy. Booing Edmonds I can see, but the only reason I can see fans booing Pujols is because they want DLee to win the MVP, and Pujols is one of the main contenders for that title

I'm asking if they are.

I was in the right-center bleachers yesterday, and there was some scattered booing of every Cardinal player, including Pujols.

If he was getting booed it wasn't very loud.

At the White Sox series at Wrigley there were boos but the boos usually came as a result of loud cheering by the Sox fans. With that being said I would question if it was a matter of booing Pujols or drowning out the Cardinal fans at Wrigley. And FWIW, by that assessment, maybe the Cardinal fans at Busch were doing the same thing to Cub fans. I wasn't there so I'd need someone else to give an assessment.

If I remember correctly, the only time I heard the Cards fans boo at Busch was when the Cub fans started chants. But I could still hear more Cub fans there. Thats because of the Chicago coverage focused on the Chicago fans though

Lee was booed by the entire stadium at Busch before his every AB. It wasn't as noticable because he's the player that drew the most cheers from the Cubs fans in attendance.

if the cubs are under .500 then i honestly don't care if they take the season series against the cards. it won't make me feel any better about this season if we dominate the cards this season, unless of course we end up making the playoffs.
