Rough start for Remmy

Giving up 4 runs and not recording an out. Rough start. I'm thinking he's done after this year. Boston fans will want his head if he continues like that. Luckily they won the game. Do the Cubs owe Remmy his whole contract or does Boston pick some of it up?

The Cubs sent an undisclosed amount of cash to Boston, but the Sox are on the hook for the rest of Remmy's contract.

I thought I read somewhere that the Cubs are paying 90% of the contract with their cash contribution in the deal.

Still a waste of money in my opinion. I'm on the bandwagon of not paying tons of money to middle relievers unless there name is Gagne or Nen from a few years back. Especially with the farm system we have. I would think you could bring up Welly or Leicester and they could contribute if given regular work. Anybody have any other names to throw out that you'd feel comfortable in a major league uniform?

Van Buren if he keeps performing. I would like to see him get a call up in September to see how he does.
