Has anybody noticed that in 77 major league at bats, Francoeur has drawn exactly 0 walks! Isn't that at the Neifi/Macias level. I would think that also hitting .403 with 8HR, over that span makes that a little more exceptable, but still... The way he is raking surprised he hasn't even been intentionally walked.

A rookie hitting over .400 and 8 dingers in 77 at bats should be at the plate looking for some more stuff to hit. When he cools off, I'd hope (at least if he was a Cub) he'd start being a little more selective. Until then, ride that wave all the way in.

He played in AA in my hometown of Jackson, Miss. I got know him and some of the other guys a little bit when they'd go out on the town, etc. Jeff is a really humble and nice guy. I'm really glad he is doing so well. He sorta struggled down here for a while, but always had a powerful and nice swing plus he plays a really good outfield and runs well. He's a total 5 tool player. It looks like all the scouts and their comparisons to a young Dale Murphy could perhaps be true.

What's sad, is if he were part of the Cubs, Dusty would bench him for Macias.

Man, I'd love to know what's like to have a good manager.

So true, so true. So painfully sad.

Your only hope in the near future is to become a Braves fan.

Francoeur and all the young Brave players is exactly why I am becoming a Braves fan again, along with the Cubs of course. Too bad the Cubs cannont see the light and play some of their young players.
