Nomar took a couple of balls, drilled one foul, and then was hit by the pitch to load the bags. Not sure if there was another pitch somewhere in there.

Nomar crushed the first pitch he saw in his 3rd PA to right but was robbed of an XBH thanks to a leaping catch on the warning track.

He made an error in the field when he charged a slow grounder and lost it on the transfer.

Nomar turned a sweet 6-3 DP. Charged over, gloved it, jumped over the sliding runner and fired to first.

Wood pitched to one batter in the 6th (came in with 2 outs) and struck him out. He'll start the 7th.

How many games can you listen to at once? Thanks. :D

Bottom of the 6th in Peoria, Kane County winning 6-1.

Kerry Wood K'd the only batter he faced in the top in the 6th, and it sounds like he'll start the 7th.

Another solid effort from Grant Johnson: 5IPs, 5 hits, 2R, 1ER, 3Ks/4BBs.

Wow. I feel bad for these kids. Sounds like Woody is just dominating them. He's been in the 96-98 range the whole time. He came in and got 4 outs on 16 pitches with 3 K.

I've done three before, but I got that from the box score.

Ugh. Only 1,866 fans at Pringles Park...

Sweet!

Nomar grounded out to second on the first pitch in his 4th PA.

Were there any guys on when Wood came in to the game??

Javier Herrera was on first.

(all the other baserunners that inning had already scored  )

I'm not sure, but he pitched exclusively from the stretch and was in the 96-98 MPH range the whole time. Only threw 3 balls in the 4 batters he faced. Got all 4 of them out. 3 K's. Only one guy made contact against him (weak popup to 2nd base). Sounded like he was really on.

Great at-bat by Eric Patterson = RBI double, scoring Harvey

Stops EPat's 0-14 stint.

6-2 Chiefs to the 9th

Finally!

Montanez leads off the ninth with a HR. Greenberg coming up with the tying run in scoring position with one out! He grounded out in his only AB.

Adam walks on 4-straight! He's the winning run and Sisk is going to PH.

Bah. Sisk popped up on a 3-2 pitch. It's all up to Nomar...

D'oh, Harvey didn't score on that. It was Aaron Smith (yay!).

I'm still sleeeepy; that's my excuse.

Leadoff triple by Schmidt in the bottom of the 9th!

ETA: Uhhhh, make that the bottom of the 8th! This is NOT my day for PBP. Sorry. 6-3 Chiefs to the 9th now.

Sellout crowd tonight in Peoria.

Ugh. Nomar juuuuust missed a game-winning double. Just foul by third base.

Nomar K's on a check swing appeal and he is not happy...

Jaxx lose.

I'll really be sad when the Jaxx leave town but can't blame them, they're doing all they can. Everyone can point to this weekend when/if the Jaxx leave town.
