Sox had a comfortable 5-0 lead before they just imploded.

Duffy tripled with 1 out in the Pirate's 3rd, and Bay walked, but neither scored after ward flew out and Mackowiak struck out. Still tied at 0.

Giles just homered to tie the Braves and Nats at 1.

FYI, Cubs,com had a link to listen to the Peoria Chiefs game. Nomar was 1-4 with 2 RBI and a couple of defensive plays (one where he had to jump to avoid a runner). Maybe that groin is healed? The Chiefs won 7-3

I hate the braves but i feel they will win there division so we need washington to lose.

Even when he has a good game, Leiter is always one pitch short of implosion. Tonight the Twins had 12 baserunners against him in 5 innings. But they left the bases loaded in the first and second innings, had a runner thrown out at home to end the 3rd, left 2 on in the 4th and grounded into a double play with 2 on in the 5th. Leiter really has next to nothing left... the Yankees should cut him adrift as soon as they can.

The Mets are trying not to be swept by Colorado. Pedro is pitching against the Astros tomorrow so I'll be rooting for him.
