Here's a thought. If you feel the need to trade away players who would be useful on the bench (Holly and Neifi) because the manager will play them every day if he has them, why not fire the manager instead?

 

Exactly. Although I'm okay cutting Neifi yesterday, today, and tomorrow.

 

Neifi should have been gone weeks ago! I would rather see anybody over there than Neifi. Why Cedeno hasn't seen the light of day recently is mind boggling! Cedeno should be playing everyday right now until Garciaparra gets back and then when he does Nomar will only be able to play a few days a week. Seems like the perfect scenario to give the kid a shot, but Dusty lives in his own fantasy land thinking all his old Giants players will come to the Cubs and play everyday.

Neifi doesn't need to go, he just doesn't need to start. I have no problem with having a Neifi as the 25th man. I just hate having him start and having Cedeno and Macias on the bench. I wouldn't be furious if Neifi was on the team, Macias was gone and Cedeno was the starter.
