Okay, Well, actually, I just want feedback on the proposals I am thinking of making.

A couple of things to keep in mind: This is a dynasty league, it lasts for many years, so it is like a real organization. Roger Clemens is real old, and probably wont play next year. I am so far out of contention this year its not even funny. Not that I have a bad team, they have just all underacheived.

Okay, All that beign said, A guy in my league message'd me and said that he is interested in Lew Ford, Jhonny Peralta, and Roger Clemens.

The only three guys on his team that half way interest me are Carlos Beltran, Gary SHeffield, and Todd Helton.

how does this sound, all things considered:

Roger Clemens, Jhonny Peralta, and Lew Ford for Todd Helton and Rich hill (we have minor league systems too)

You could get more. If he can't part with anymore of the everyday players then at least pillage his farm system of high-level prospects.

That is his team. Whom should i ask for in addition to what i have proposed (or to replace rich hill). Keep in mind, i havent even sent a proposal yet. All he did was say he was interested in those the three players i mentioned. I just want to have a good propoal ready.

Roast, i think it would be in your best interest to trade Roger Clemens to that Heavy Hitters team...you shouldnt ask for anything more than Bob Howry or Ryan Church though.

:-k

Seems to me that you have some "special interest" in this organization..

Seriously though, If you want him, and you can make me an offer that i find more attractive than that of what he makes me, or agrees to, then he will be yours.

Id go for Dan Johnson and Ervin Santana as part of a deal. I like Peralta a lot and for his position he has good production at such a young age, so Id try to keep him. I love Lew and even though he screwed me this year and I hung on to him way too long (I think I dropped him just before the ASG) hes good but in the OF hes nearly a dime a dozen, especially with his SBs going out the window. I'd try to deal Clemens to a contender this year and stock up the farm. How about Clemens and Ford for Santana, Johnson, and Tracy?

In the same vein, I really want an Ace because I'm way over the pitching limit and can only start 3 pitchers the rest of the season (I already have Prior and Garland slotted for 2 spots) and wouldnt mind a boost in SB. I am dominating in saves (89 compared to 2nd who has 68) and near/at the top in power with a good amount of space between me and the rest of the pack in most categories. So, I'm proposing Cordero, Webb, Doug Davis, and Pat Burrell for Pedro and Podsednik. The guy im trading is in the middle of the pack in saves right now but only has Kolb, Foulke, and Mesa closing. Hes at the bottom in power and middle/top in SBs. Hes below the limit in games so could probably use some filling out of the back of his pen. The same trade was rejected earlier with LaRoache instead of Burrell. Am I overpaying? Ohh and I picked up Farns (in addition to already having Wickman and Izzy) so I wont go down too bad in saves.

My problem is, that I am in serious need of a big offensive stud. Particularly in the outfield. But Carlos Beltran isnt as special as he's made out to be, and Gary Sheffield is old for a dynasty league. Thats why Helton is my target. Of course, he's no spring chicken either.

How even is this deal, again with the dynasty league setting considered:

Helton, Todd Walker for Clemens, Peralta, and Ford.

I'm leary of Helton and his down year. Hes getting up there in age and plays every freekin day, but I dont think you are paying too much there for the chance he should even return to a big below his normal level. Walker is a good thrown in as he will get you good production in a slim position. Do you not need Peralta? I'd do everything I could to try to keep him and as you arent asking for any rookies/near major league ready studs back I'd try to pull in from the deal. But hey, maybe I value him more than most. Tell him to pick up Betiment from whoever has him to include in the deal and you will get it done.
