It's the AL. After the first inning it doesn't really matter who led off. Mazzilli was probably trying to give Sosa some protection.

Either that or someone reminded him that his name backwards is illizam and, realizing that his name sounds better backwards than it does forwards, blew his mind.

Well, the whole GDIP negation theory is shot. He's well on his way to the sombrero.

Maybe he figures if Sosa hits into a double play that Roberts is fast enough to beat it out. I dunno.

He'll strike out first.

You gotta put the ball into play before a DP can be formed.

I thought this would be something about Lou Piniella using another lame excuse to get Damon Hollins in the lineup over Joey Gathright, Jonny Gomes, or Delmon Young.

Well, the experiment didn't work. He took the Golden Sombrerro for the nite, 0 for 4

Ole Miss Cub--

I need to know where you found the pic in your sig file, I want to know the name/artist for it. I'd love to get that print in a large size and framed for my game room.

If anyone knows where I can get a high quality (color) print of Wrigley, large size, day game (no lights), I'd appreciate it.

I have autographed jerseys from Ernie, Ryno, Fergie and Dawson, if only Billy would sign his jerseys on the BACK like everyone else, I'd be happy. C'mon Billy!!!!!!!!!!!!!

It's a Norman Rockwell painting called "The American Pastime." I did a Google search, and this link is what I found (I'm sorry about the source, but it's the first thing I found).

EDIT: Actually, upon further review, it's not called "The American Pastime," it's called "The Dugout." I doubted the source when I first read it, but went with it. Note to self: Never trust a Sox fan on matters about artists and paintings.

I think that note is well-founded.

'Trust' a Sox fan :?:

The artist is Norman Rockwell. My wife bought it for me a couple years ago and it's hanging on my living room wall.
