With Hill being sent to Peoria to stay on his regular schedule, do you all think Hoffpauir is being used the same way by being sent to West Tenn? Micah has been heating up the last few weeks and with Lee's injury and the potential for trades, I think they want him to get regular at bats in case something happens. Do you think he'll be sent back to Iowa after the All-Star break? Just curious

When Patterson and Dubois were sent down to Iowa, two players needed to be removed from Iowa's roster to make room for them. Hoffpauir being sent to West Tenn was one of those moves (releasing Hubbard was the other). I anticipate that he'll be back in Iowa when Patterson and/or Dubois is called back up (or traded).

If Lee went on the DL they have a number of options at 1st base. Dubois would probably be first in line. Kelton might be considered. There's also Brandon Sing who's having a good year. I doubt any of those guys would play but they could all potentially get the call.

Sing is still playing out there too. Micah and Brandon will probably switch off between 1st and the outfield. Interesting...Brandon is listed as a 3B on minorleaguebaseball.com.

That's where he started his minor league career. And yes, at times, it was scary, I'm told.
