Man Burnitz is streaky offensively.

Name me a Cub who isn't (other than Lee this season). It seems like we've got an extremely streaky team this year...both in terms of personal performance, and in the standings.

Every hitter on this team not named Lee is streaky, no?

I don't think Hairston is that bad. He does find a way to get on base, even when he's not hitting.

Wow. Are we all watching a Cubs game? We seem to be getting to excited for this to be a Cubs game. Pardon me while I check the score. THUD!! I'm OK. That can't be true. Please tell me who kidnapped the Cubs and replaced them with a good offensive team!

I think I am going to start a Barrett for clean up bandWgN. Even that strikeout went to a full count, lets not make him bat behind neifi, corey, and holla all year long, it just isnt humane.

Two things happened:

(1) We got some different people - rookies even! - into the mix.

(2) Hairston and Walker are actually at the top of the batting order. Amazing.

I didn't say anybody was bad.... just streaky.

I'm not sure whether Corey's coming back, unless he really gets on a tear in AAA. And even at that, he may be brought up just long enough for trade bait. Let's see, is anyone in the market for a poor man's Mike Cameron?

With all of the fun we had voting for the lineups in the all star game, I think we should be able to vote on starting lineups and batting orders for regular season games as well.

I hate to be the pessimist, but if we actually win this game, it makes Dusty look like a little better manager.

And I was addressing that question - not bad about being streaky. :D

And Pretty Boy LoDuca rips a hit. Grrr...
