Thanks guys, I appreciate the info.  We'll wait and see, I guess.  I'm still kinda cautious.   If he has qualities to be a useful big-leaguer, still seems curious that he's sustained 4+ ERA in Southern League, where hitters aren't as good as in majors.  But really helpful to understand the scouting perspective from his supporters.

Well, off the bat we should remember: ERA is inherently flawed and we have better ways to evaluate pitching to begin with. But even then:
1. MiLB defense is considerably worse than MLB defense. This can result in errors, but also poor routes and added runners on base.
2. He's running a 3.69 FIP
3. As a reliever, not a stater, we can assume his stuff will tick up and he'll be a little harder to hit as well

Again, no one here should be calling him a stud, but he's got "middle reliever" written all over him. There's a pathway to being a pretty quality reliever for his profile.
