I would not be surprised if he stays parked at Tenn for much longer than feels necessary specifically to head off the calls for him to reach the bigs for as long as possible.

I could see that. Alas, he does seem to have the kind of stuff that could translate pretty seamlessly to the majors at this point, moreso than a guy like Horton last summer.

I'd assume after that as long as he wakes up tomorrow feeling good Shota's next start is against the Cardinals

Curious: Who was that tall guy that hit a few home runs in spring training? He's around 6 foot 7/8 inches tall. I can't remember his name.

Point being: I am relocating to Knoxville in a few weeks, so I am trying to figure out who he is. I did noticed he is not on the Cubs top 30 prospects according to mlb.com.
