Not sure if these are related to the issues above but when visiting NSBB the last couple of days, there is an ad that shows up that repeatedly plays a video in full screen mode....like its happened 3 times since I started typing this post.  It looks like it's a Southwest ad.  Makes the site completely unusable on desktop

Next time this happens, click on the link, and PM me the URL. That definitely isn't supposed to happen.

You'll be pleased to know I just told the provider to block all homes.com ads.

I’m still getting them, along with a few other new ones that have screen-blocking videos.

Okay, I'm going to ask around a bit. I heard one person say they cleared their cache, and it went away.

What browser are you using again?

Chrome

K, I found someone on Twins Daily who is having this problem, though it's Chrome for Mac.

Are you running any plugins or extensions or whatever?

Adobe editor is the only thing I have active currently.

Try disabling hardware acceleration, see if the problem disappears.

Go to Settings > System.

Toggle off Use hardware acceleration when available.

Relaunch the browser when prompted.

Graphics acceleration is the only option I have there.  Settings are somewhat controlled by my company.

Oh yeah, that's the same thing. It's actually graphical hardware acceleration.

Turned off and relaunched with no change.

@mul21 this has worked for someone at Twins Daily:

That worked.  I tried it yesterday as well but apparently didn't clear out enough things.

Okay, please let me know if it comes back. I've tried a variety of searches to uncover this problem, and haven't come up with much in the way of real answers as to why it's happening.

It seems related to the "enter your email" pop up.  That only comes up all the way if I click on my other screen when it's in the shaded part of the flashing.  Otherwise, it just alternates the fully bright and shaded screens about every second.
