- Rojas is still the youngest position player on an OD full season roster. Alexis Hernandez (19, A) is second, not particularly young for his level

- RHP Juan Bello, 20, squeaks out being the youngest pitcher on an OD full season roster. He signed at 18, threw well including strikes in the DSL, and got crammed into a bunch of starts at the end in the ACL last year. While never young for the level, plus disappeared much of last year, he’s more or less thrown well for the moment. IIRC I may or may not have read a feel for spin, maybe confusing him for relatively successful countryman Carlos Ocampo. Ideally/Should be capable of holding down a rotation job for MB and gain a smidge of status

Other 20 YOs are Starlyn Pichardo (A), Mason McGwire (A), Pedro Ramirez (A+), Ballesteros (AA)

- I wouldn’t be surprised if all 3 20 YOs start for MB. None is a Gallardo but the two IFA signees have done well. McGwire’s been pretty uninspiring but is healthy with a prototypical frame and feel for a secondary

- Ballesteros, in the upper minors, has a shot to be the first 20 YO Cub in forever (Castro)

- Congrats to Wally Soto on finally making a full season roster. LHH catcher been around forever at the Rk levels, listed 5’6” 170

- G’luck to Cam Sanders, Pinango, Gallardo, Franklin, Aliendo, Ethan Roberts, Roederer etc and like 40+ others who are eligible for MiLB FA next year. Might see one or two go overseas

- Carter Trice is listed as an IF and Shane Marshall (listed an impressive 6’4” 210) as a C. Hard to see anyone but Trice as the starter with Soto and 25 Ativia the only competition

- Vn to see Bateman open with SB

- No Carico?

I believe Carico had a minor injury earlier this spring but is now healthy and catching intrasquad games in Arizona. Hope he's up somewhere in a few weeks.
