2005 Game Thread Starters - Sign up Here

I noticed that the W/L of the game thread starter is updated as the season progresses. Does the starter with the most wins or highest W/L get some type of award?

Starts down the stretch and hopefully in the playoffs.

That's funny. We need something to give away as well.

Do I need to make another donation of something from my vast stock?

I was thinking along the lines of an NSBB tshirt ... but I'm open to suggestions!

I'm just wondering, will CT's turn be skipped when it comes up in the rotation soon? (Since he started opening day?)

The only "prize" we really had last season was the opening day gig, so I considered it a plus start. I suppose, though, that if Roast had been opening day starter, we would have had to change the order since he was the first to sign up ... so maybe we should change it for next year.

We should also probably have a cutoff time for starting the next game thread before someone else can start it (when there's a game the following day). Does midnight central work for people?

FYI: Roast is going to start Friday's game thread. Since Thursday is an off-day and the game ran late, he'll start it tomorrow (actually, later today/Thursday).

I hope that makes sense.

I think he'll start the thread when he gets back from school and goes online. I sent him a PM and I'm sure Serena did too. We're flooding his PM box. :P

Not that it's a big deal, but I don't understand how some people are starting several game threads and others that volunteered to do it still haven't started one. How does the "rotation" work?

When someone who's supposed to start the next game thread isn't around by midnight CT the night before, a spot starter will generally make the start - CT seems to be rather effective at spot starts, so he's made the bulk of them.

What Raisin said. :) If someone doesn't have the game thread up in time, people can volunteer to spot-start or one of us will ask someone to spot-start (one and done). I'll usually ask someone who signed up to do it (and someone who is toward the bottom of the list of people who hadn't done it yet) and who shows up as being online. If you're interested, make sure your PM notification is on!

Anyone can start the Other Games threads.
