I realize we are still a couple weeks away from the start of the regular season ... I'm hoping people are trying to see how Spring Training shakes out (in case of injury).

Or - is no one interested this year?

I just realized I charged myself $250 for Ohtani when no player costs more than $200....but I'm gonna leave it, because it's hilariously stupid AND Ohtani rules that hard.

It's accounted for in my Google sheet, but I will leave the mention in the entries thread. ;-)

Bench players count towards the $1000 cap?

No. They are "free" and the equivalent of wild cards in previous years.

Yep, I see now. My bad. I'll have my team ready here soon

FYI - I'm allowing texascub's entry, even though it was past the deadline. The reason is, we have a low turnout this year. Last year was 15 teams and that was a new low. This year was 12 before texascub.

My bad. For some reason I saw it as midnight, not noon. Thank you for allowing my entry.

Oh, [expletive] me for not thinking of Trout as a bench choice. So the bench is different than the past, right? We can make moves on that prior to the ASB?

TRANSACTIONS
Throughout the season, you may make six (6) adds/drops to your core roster of 10 players. The following rules apply to transactions:

· You must drop a player to add another player. A drop/add is one transaction.
· The player added must be from the same position as the player dropped.
· The salaries of each drop/add must keep you at or under your salary cap.
· You must post your transaction in the HR Derby transaction thread. The transaction becomes effective at midnight Central Time the day you post it. You will accrue the dropped player's HRs in any game started by midnight Central Time that day. You will accrue the added player's HRs for any games starting after midnight Central Time the next day.
· If you only post an add without a drop or there's any other problem deciphering your intent, the transaction isn't finalized until it's straightened out.
· You may make three (3) transactions before the All-Star Break and three (3) transactions after the All-Star Break. These transactions apply only to the core roster and not the Bench Players. It's use or lose it -- if you don't make three (3) transactions before the All-Star Break, you still only get three (3) transactions afterwards (no rollover transactions).
· You may change your Bench Player(s) twice in the first half of the season and twice in the second half of the season (up from just once at the ASB). HOWEVER … there must be thirty (30) days between bench player transactions.
· No transactions between the deadline on April 6 and 12:00pm Central Time on April 14, 2022 (first week of the season) and also no transactions after 12:00pm Central Time on September 15, 2022.
