Cubs up 4-2 in the 4th.

 

For fun, pre-deadline vs post-deadline numbers:

 

Offense before: .227/.308/.398/.705

Offense after: .247/.309/.425/.734

 

Pitching before: 4.17 ERA

Pitching after: 6.53 ERA

 

Lot of variables at play but after watching the offense hold the team back for big chunks of 3 seasons, we are now hitting better but our pitching fell off a cliff.

how humiliating to assist the cardinals in breaking their franchise record for wins streak

 

oh well. as long as they dont cardinal their way to another WS who cares
