Caissie probably should go to Myrtle Beach and skip the ACL: https://www.thecubreporter.com/06242021/4th-inning-explosion-too-much-cubs-fitch-park

Owen Caissie blasted a solo HR (his third in his last two games) and Ismael Mena tripled and scored to account for the two Cub runs. Caissie also singled, so he has now reached base in 15 of his 21 EXST PA (three HR, four doubles, five singles, and three walks, in just seven games).

Cubs SP Tyler Schlaffer easily retired the first ten A's in order (F-9, K, L-7 / K, 5-3, K / L-9, F-7, K / 5-3...) before the roof fell-in -- starting with a walk -- with one out in the 4th.

Schalffer's final line:

1. Tyler Schlaffer: 3.1 IP, 3 H, 4 R (4 ER), 1 BB, 4 K, 2/4 GO/AO, 60 pitches (35 strikes)

Of all the years to get rid of SS A ball, the year immediately after a complete shutdown of minor league baseball probably wasn't the best one. At least for the prep draft picks from 2020, as well as some of the teenage IFAs. I don't know if Caissie is ready for full season A ball (especially with the older than usual pitching staffs there this year), but it sure looks like he needs to be challenged more than he will be in the ACL. Eugene would have been perfect.

Yep. And Howard would likely benefit from Eugene too.
