Ugly? Isn’t that the lineup that scored 10 runs yesterday?

After today, the Cubs next 17 games are against 1st place teams (6 vs SD, 4 @ NYM, 3 vs. STL) or against a team that’s 12 games over (4 @ SF)

I get that half the team is in the IL but is having a shortened bench worth the chance that Rizzo might be available 1-2 days before his IL stint is up?

Rizzo isn’t on the IL, is he?

No he’s not. That’s what I’m saying. This is what day 7 without Rizzo? Is it worth having a short bench for a week so that Rizzo may possibly PH 1-2 days before a IL stint would be over

Still a little annoyed w the overturned call. It might have seemed like he beat the throw, but if they had that secret NY-only view with his toe on the base, the review wouldn't have taken that long.

Between seeing eye grounders, getting screwed on replay, Joe West’s strike zone, and BABIP, you cannot have an unluckier start to a game than the Cubs have had. My God.

Looks like the first 6 batters have swung at about 10 pitches well out of the zone. Maybe a little less aggressive early in the count would help.

I’m still dubious that they have other camera angles that we can’t see. If they had other angles why wouldn’t they show them on the broadcast? Or do the umpires have body cams or something that are not broadcast worthy? Just seems like something they made up to get away with overturning calls with inconclusive evidence.

The conclusive evidence stuff annoys me. Just saying you are using the replay to make a judgement call even if the replay isn’t conclusive. Like yes from the replays I saw I would say it’s overwhelmingly likely he was safe. Ok so then just say that.
