So what's going on with Abbott's stuff? He never had major walk issues, and he kept the ball in the yard. Now the walks are way up but so are the strikeouts and whiffs. AAA seems to still be playing with the funny ball; Orlando Arcia has 8 HR for Christ's sake. Abbott is certainly falling prey to that [expletive] ball, just glancing at statistics.

So why is he getting so many whiffs but walking way more than expected? I would understand if his numbers were poor and people simply said he wasn't fooling anyone, but you don't strike out 30% TBF if that's the case. Any reports on his spin rates? Just newfound movement he can't command yet?

Thoresen just had probably his best pro start...4 IP shutout with a couple BBs and Hs, 7 Ks. Still think he could be what Cam Sanders was for SB in 2019 with this MB squad

Nwogu just hit his first MiL HR (got

robbed on a LD to the gaps earlier), Made’s hung in there has a hit, Hearn doubled so far

Pinango is up to .253/.319/.361. His K rate is 14.3% and his walk rate is 7.7%. He's hitting the ball on the ground WAY too much (hence the lack of slugging), but otherwise really encouraging stuff from a 19 year old in his first month of full season ball.
