I kind of assumed Ryan was gonna get sent out this weekend. I figured just to Iowa rather than DFA'd, but having 4 lefties in the pen really only made sense for the Dodgers series.

Ryan had been decent but with Brothers pitching well and Steele breaking out, another lefty was redundant.
