- Committee will effectively seed on a straight S-curve this year with a few caveats: top 4 teams in a conference are in different regions, no rematches until the second round if possible, no conference 3x rematches until Elite Eight.

So this basically means one Big 10 team is going to get stuck in Gonzaga’s region as the 2 seed, right, even if they’re ranked 2-5 in the committee’s rankings?

That is correct, if Illinois, Michigan, Iowa and Ohio State are all top 2 seeds, they will be forced into separate regions, so someone will be the 2 in Gonzaga's region (and probably Baylor's region as well). So if Illinois is 3, Michigan 4, Iowa 5 and Ohio State 6, Iowa would be the Baylor 2 seed and Ohio State would be the Gonzaga 2 seed.

North Texas beats Western Kentucky to win the CUSA.

Putting them at 53 for the time being, they have no substance of an at large profile. Western Kentucky probably gets bumped down a few notches as well, putting them out of the running for an at-large spot.

I'll do one more onceover to see if anything seems way out of place, then run a bracket.

Here is what I think is a legal bracket (top 4 teams in each conference in separate brackets and no rematches in first round, no 3rd rematch in second round, no 4th rematch in third round).

Still plenty open to tweaks, I made a few S-Curve tweaks based on the wekeend games:

- Illinois to 3

- Oklahoma State to 8

- Texas to 9

- Arkansas to 10

Last 4 in right now are Louisville, Wichita State, the A10 final loser and Western Kentucky

First 4 out are Colorado State, Syracuse, Xavier and Boise State.

Colgate wins the Patriot leagye, having played a grand total of 4 teams this season (Loyola MD, Boston U, Army and Holy Cross)

Looks great, my quibbles would be moving Ohio up a seed. I think the MAC was the best of the single bid conferences(excepting WCC cause I don’t know how to judge them), and it had some depth to it which is rare for a single bid league.

So along with that the MVC had nothing beyond Loyola-Drake and Drake’s single win over Loyola is their entire resume. 2 Q3 losses compared to 1Q1 win. Only played 8 Q1/Q2 games(though to their credit went 6-2 in them)

Alabama hangs on to win the SEC, still not going to get a 1 seed.

St. Bonaventure wins the A10, swap them and VCU in tge bracket.

I feel like 2 out of 3 years I start this with the best intentions of finishing and then something comes up and I leave you high and dry. Either way I think I agree with the majority of your choices, looks good!

Also, for those curious, the reason I'm pro Western Kentucky more so than teams like Syracuse or Seton Hall is that they won their conference regular season and won at Alabama, which is a better win than anyone else in that area, so I think they'll get rewarded for that.

As long as Houston wins, that is.

No regrets, figured W KY would be a long shot, that's what I get for trying to guess the committee curveball (it was Utah State instead) Came close with Louisville, had tgem in last 4 in with Syracuse first 4 out, but I guess the committee was more impressed with a 2 point home win over UNC.
