Ryan Tepera MVP of the exhibition games so far

I feel like he and Cotton we're two of the guys competing for the last spot or two in the pen. Seems pretty clear who ought to get that spot.

Hoping they just went crazy with over correcting the hot gun last night since Kyle hit 93-94 a few times and they under juiced it now. Yu was mostly 92-94 tonight with touching 95, Jeffress was 91-93 (when he’s right he’s 95+ and there in ST) and Kimbrel is just 95-96. That ain’t gonna cut it for Craig. Edited by Cubswin11

Norwood might be alright. I like how his fastball/splitter mixes it up among the RHs too, plus he throw really hard

There's hopefully a guy between he and Mekkes, maybe both. Both guys held their own in the wild juiced ball juiced parks PCL of the past couple years, Norwood's already looked good in the MLs

There’s something really intriguing with Norwood if it all comes together. Iirc he’s had issues holding velocity both inside an inning and from outing to outing, he needs to be high 90s to make the mix work and not low-mid.

I remember generally liking his ML appearances too and the nunbers are promising (1 HR, 21 Ks in 20.1)...

Anyone see if Tepera looked good? I wasn't blown away by Winkler, randomly lump them together

Was really impressed with Tepera, he was throwing this slider/slurvey pitch. His FB is only 92-94 but apparently that slider/slurve he only uses like 4-9% of the time and they’ve upped the usage. He went 1, 2, 3 on Moncada (or EE), Eloy and Robert. He’s ran ERAs from 2.9-3.6 every year before last year in which he was hurt with decent peripherals. Even if Kimbrel remains an ameba, you can squint and see a Tepera-Jeffress-Wick middle trio being a solid mid-late inning group. Then hopefully someone else from the pile is decent, or Ryan fakes his way again (but 3 batter min and having to face more RHBs has me nervous).

I can't believe Homer Bailey is still in the league

Remember when he was a can't miss prospect? Pepperidge Farm remembers
