The end of game coaching by both Georgia and South Carolina has been awful. Neither of them deserve to win.

Seriously. South Carolina should have gone for it on 4th and 3 rather than try a 58 yard FG at the end of regulation. Then in the second OT they go for it on 4th and 1 rather than try the FG (they got it but kicked a FG later in the drive). Then at the end of the first OT, they try to center the ball rather than go for the first down on 3rd and 3. I know it was only a 33 yarder but you need to go for the first down.

EDIT: I liked them going for it on 4th and 1 in the second OT, just thought it was funny they’d rather try a 57 yarder with a kid whose career long (I think) was 49 instead of go for a 4th and 3 and then go for it in OT.

And why at the end of regulation didn’t Georgia call timeout when Carolina was at 2nd and long from midfield then 3rd and long? They would have had plenty of time to drive down the field for a better shot.

I thought South Carolina calling a timeout after their first down play was strange also. It's now 2nd and 12 from midfield and there's 1:26 left. Either you let the clock run a bit (not necessarily running the play clock all the way down) or you make Georgia use a timeout. You've got plenty of time even if you snap the next play at 1:00 to 1:05 or so because before that, they had all three timeouts. The last thing you want is to give Georgia time to drive down and tie/win the game (which they almost did).
