If you’re going to toss Maples you probably should have tossed the Pirates pitcher after his third HBP. Two of his were fastballs while both of Maples’s were curves.

I’d love not to have to worry about our best players getting thrown at tomorrow or next week at PNC

Well they hit three first so really we’ve got one more HBP to use.

Nico has 6 HRs in 375 minor league PAs. Crazy what he’s doing. 2 weeks ago his season was essentially over. Now he’s hitting dongs in a major league playoff race

Nico hadn't had a chance to hit juiced balls yet.

And he won't be hitting them next year (if we're to believe that this juiced ball problem is going to be fixed over the winter)

what problem? and who said it would be? as far as i know mlb has not even acknowledged that it's a thing, so saying they'll fix it would shock me.

I kinda think we’re gonna steal the division but we’ll probably lose 5-1 tomorrow and I’ll be back off the bus

The Reds series is the one I’m worried about just because we get Gray and Castillo. Cards get the Nats big 3 though which is good.

There were a slew of articles in early August talking about how MLB had scientists studying the balls to find out what's going on.

I can't imagine that they'll let these balls be used for multiple seasons. Steroid-era HR records are being smashed left and right. It's making a traveshamockery of the sport.

Win tomorrow, get 2 of 3 vs the Reds and I feel pretty confident we’ll be within 2 games of the Cards going in to the series next week with them.

no it's not

those articles are [expletive]. this was intentional. only AAA and MLB have the juiced balls. it's not an accident. and its not a mockery of anything. it's awesome.

One of Hamels and Lester needs to not throw BP
