Pedro Martínez was called up to Eugene yesterday after approximately one month in the AZL.

 

The list of 18-year old Cubs who made it to the NWL for significant playing time in recent years is short. I might have missed someone but I see Ademan and Eloy were in the NWL at 18. Gleyber was in the NWL at 17, Parades skipped it entirely and was at South Bend at 18.

 

So Pedro is definitely a thing.

Heck yeah, finally a switch hitter who does actual hitting without burying himself in Ks. Agreed, this is a thing. .167 IsoSLG in the AZL this year to go with hitting .350+

Also Reivaj García for about a month this year. I forgot how young Amaya was. Admittedly Vázquez in 2018 and García this year had forgettable 18-year seasons in the NWL and don’t belong in the same conversation as the rest.
